The life and death of Aurel Steinert

About Aurel Steinert

At the young age of 21, Aurel was characterized by his social drive.

"Let us not love in word nor in tongue, but in deed and in truth" was the confirmation motto he had chosen for himself.

As student representative of the Dante-Gymnasium in Munich, as chairman of the "Model United Nations" association in Karlsruhe and as chairman of PionierGarage, a start-up university group at the Karlsruhe Institute of Technology, where he studied industrial engineering, he showed tireless commitment

He created platforms, strengthened his neighbors and believed in action and truth, turning words into deeds.

As family and friends, we want to keep these values alive in projects and create spaces in which young people and young adults can grow stronger and gain self-confidence and knowledge.

About Aurel's strength

Aurel had the privilege of growing up with different languages and living in different European countries: In Germany, France and briefly in Scotland. His bilingual education enabled him to perform fluently in German, French and English. A lot of sport and cultural education complete the picture.

His self-confidence helped him to stand on stage and present and speak with confidence. He took a chance early on, was not always satisfied, had setbacks, did not get discouraged and gained strength through small successes.

The last MUN event that Aurel co-organized as Chair was "Model United Nations - Connecting Dreams" in January 2024 in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia

A few private words

In his 21 years of life, Aurelius was characterized by his social drive. Words came easily to him, but they were never enough; actions had to follow. Actions that strengthened others - whether his closest friends and family, or the person he had just met.

He saw the versatility of his life and education as a gift that he wanted to use for the benefit of others. Versatility can give wings and be a strong basis for active social engagement - and thus for acquired self-confidence and self-esteem. Qualities that helped him to stand on a stage, for example, and to represent the values that were important to him in word and deed, to endure setbacks, digest them and turn them into new deeds.

We, his parents, sisters, godparents and friends want to keep the values that Aurel loved to live for alive in projects. That is why we have set up this foundation in his name.
